Our team is seeking a Quality Inspector to join our team in Avon, MA. The Quality Inspector will serve a key role within the Operations group and has responsibility to provide quality inspection support in the manufacture of medical device products. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with other Quality Assurance and Operations members. The position involves working in a fast-paced, results-oriented team environment and will be vital to the expected growth and success of our company.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Performs Incoming Inspection, including documentation review, measurements and testing as applicable.
  • Performs first article inspection of components procured from suppliers, including prototype materials if requested by product development.
  • Initiates non-conforming material reports and supports investigation of non-conformances.
  • Maintains incoming inspection files and Device History File.
  • Performs first article label inspection prior to manufacturing runs.
  • Performs in process inspections inside and outside of the cleanroom
  • Conduct production documentation review and production lot release.
  • Supports all third-party inspections and audits (NB, FDA, etc.)
  • Flexible day shift hours

Education and Experience Requirements

  • An Associate’s Degree or one to three years of work experience required
  • Experience in the FDA-regulated medical device industry is required

Skill Requirements

  • Proficient using the Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Excel, Word, Powerpoint,
  • Proficient in English with good comprehension of written procedures and instructions
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced, hands-on environment
  • Must possess exceptional interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to perform effectively in a team environment
