Overview…

Our team is seeking an experienced, collaborative, and creative Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Avon, MA. The Manufacturing Engineer will a key role within the Operations group and has responsibilities to develop, implement, and improve lean, economical, and effective product manufacturing processes. The successful candidate will also participate on cross-functional teams within the company as part of the introduction of new products into manufacturing. This is a hands-on position requires working with equipment such as RF welders, heat sealers, packaging machines amongst other processes within the manufacturing of our critical products. The position involves working in a fast-paced, results-oriented team environment and will be vital to the expected growth and success of our company.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Provides technical, quality and engineering support on all existing processes
  • Author and execute process validations and equipment qualifications as required
  • Helps develop strategies to achieve manufacturing goals of the company
  • Ensures compliance with all quality, regulatory and safety requirements
  • Collaborates with development team on design improvements to ensure manufacturability
  • Recommends and drives cost reduction projects

Education and Experience Requirements

  • A minimum of a B.S. in Engineering or a life science degree is required
  • Minimum five years of overall manufacturing engineering experience within the medical device industry
  • Proficiency with design and drafting software (AutoCad, Solidworks) is highly desirable
  • Experience with Minitab or other statistical analysis software is preferred
  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing, Process Excellence or Six Sigma a plus

Skill Requirements

  • Must be able to work in a fast paced, hands-on environment
  • Must possess exceptional interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to perform effectively in a team environment
  • History of identifying and delivering cost reduction projects is preferred
  • Demonstrated experience with development and execution of process validations and process mapping
