In Commemoration of Jimmy Devarie Conde (1969 – 2020)

With deep sadness, we inform you of the sudden passing on November 5th of Jimmy Devarie, Plant Manager of the NHS Manufacturing facility.

Jimmy was admired, respected, and loved by his team and colleagues here at Hemanext. As Plant Manager for the past 5 years, Jimmy worked tirelessly to create our now world-class manufacturing facility. He contributed to Hemanext the extensive experience and incessant pursuit of excellence that earned him several manufacturing awards during his career. At Hemanext his unwavering professionalism combined with his devotion to our mission of improving the lives of millions of transfusion-dependent patients to make him a truly inspiring leader.

Originally from Puerto Rico, he moved to the United States to marry the love of his life, with whom he had two children. Ever tireless, in his spare time, Jimmy the born engineer enjoyed fixing all manner of things. He was a Ham Radio enthusiast, enjoyed renovating cars and motorcycles, and read widely and deeply about physics, engineering, and computational science. Jimmy’s artistic side found expression in his enthusiasm for photography, especially in portraiture and landscapes.

Above all, Jimmy was a devoted family man, who loved and was loved deeply by his wife, Vivian, and teenage children, Jim and Luisa. They will miss him and cherish his memory and so will we. His example will stay with us, and in all we do at Hemanext, we will strive to make Jimmy proud of us and part of our continuing effort to achieve the mission to which he contributed with such distinction.
